A Century in One Seed
Miyazaki-san grew up tasting her grandmother's chilli and wondering why nothing else came close — brighter, deeper, unmistakably its own.
This rare heirloom chilli has stayed within one family for more than a century — grown and saved by hand, never commercialised, never cultivated anywhere else.
When her grandmother decided it was time to stop farming, Miyazaki-san chose not to let the seed end there.
For the first time, the chilli began to be shared beyond the family that had protected it.
YUI GLOBAL FLAVOR now carries that work into international markets.

Aiko Nakano has spent years advising small and medium-sized Japanese businesses as a certified management consultant. Across Japan, there are makers of genuinely good things — work whose value cannot be measured by scale or efficiency alone.
Working with YUIICHIMI, she came to believe that if makers like these could reach a global market, Japan's distinctive food culture could endure and be passed on to the next generation.
